Theron insisted I put one up of us and city hall. The best picture came from our hotel room.
On a side note, the first night we were there after I snapped some pretty night pictures of City Hall, we began to smell really strong cigarette and marijuana smoke! The entire hotel was non-smoking!
At first we thought, heck, let them do whatever, it should end in a few minutes, but it kept getting stronger and stronger (note: there was a $250 charge if your room smelled like smoke).
So we called the front office, who we thought would run the people out of the room or tell them to stop smoking; however, that was not their policy. Instead, at midnight (when my presentation was the next morning - early) they came up to our room and said, "ready to move rooms?" We were both in our pj's. Theron said he didn't want to leave unless the other room had a view (however, we failed to show her our view, thinking since she worked there, she would know basically that we had a great view). She went to check out the view in the new room and came back and assured us it was a really good view, just on the other side of the hotel.
We had to trek across the hotel in the middle of the night to get our new room - carrying about 500 bags the whole way. During the adventure to our new room, I was able to get her to comp us room service breakfast in the morning since we would not be getting enough sleep to get food and coffee somewhere before my presentation.
When we got to the room we opened our curtains to see our new "view" and guess what it was of? A 40-FOOT NEON SPINNING GUITAR. WTF?!? That is NOT a view. We had a 'view' of the Hard Rock Cafe and their huge, 4-story, lit-up spinning guitar (and the side of a building). Wow! So glad we took pixs of our original view the first night. We dealt with the guitar and ended up eating there one night. What a crazy night!
